Sweet Peach Cobbler





Love juicy peaches? Good news, they’re in season! Why not make a cobbler! It’s fun, delicious and so easy to make. Cobbler is a dessert with fresh fruit as a base covered with dollops of batter and baked to perfection. It’s yum, trust me. Let’s start!

Sweet Peach Cobbler
Ingredients
- 6-7 peaches sliced
- 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 1/4 tsp + 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 stick of butter, cold, cut it little cubes
- 1/4 boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F
- In a large bowl, add the sliced peaches, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg. Toss to mix well. Tip to slice , similarly to an avocado, cut around the fruit and twist off.
- Pour the peach mixture in a baking dish and bake for 10 min.
- In a medium size bowl, whisk the flour, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Throw in the butter and mix with your hands until the batter resembles sand.
- Add in the hot water and whisk until well combined.
- When peaches are done baking, remove from oven and dollop the batter all over the peaches.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle all over the batter. Bake for 30-35 min until beautifully golden. Your house will smell so good. You can use or berries as your fruit base too! Enjoy!
